Just over halfway through 2025, it has been incredible to catch up with members of our church family who are still on track with the 2025 Bible Reading Plan. Each checkmark, bent edge, tear, coffee stain, or scribbled note represents another moment in His Word. While God can undoubtedly use a yearly Bible reading plan for radical personal transformation, the stories that most of our members recounted were much more tame. Six months in, the ordinary act of showing up has become extraordinary work. In other words, faithful presence. Presence with a God who speaks through ancient pages. Presence in both the valleys, plains, and mountaintops of our lives. Presence with our church family as we read, ask questions, and walk this journey together. If you’re still reading – whether you’re ahead or behind – we encourage you to keep going. If you never started and are thinking about jumping in, there’s no better time than now. As Isaiah 55:11 reminds us, His Word never returns void. MORE INFO If you'd like a copy of the Bible Reading Plan, visit rccbirmingham.org/read
