Redeemer Missions

Every summer, we take a trip to Iquitos, Peru, to visit Not Forgotten (@not_forgotten). These trips are an incredible way for us to strengthen our relationship with the Not Forgotten staff, but they are also a great way to build intergenerational relationships in the church. Norah Thompson, a member of Redeemer who joined us on the trip in August, shares about her experience: “One of the sweetest gifts was building deeper relationships with other members of Redeemer. Our shared experiences have grown into friendships that continue to encourage accountability, growth, and deeper faith as we continue to share life together in Alabama. I also loved getting to know the boys at Not Forgotten. As I met each one, I couldn’t help but think about how deeply Jesus loves him. My prayer is that they would no longer see themselves as defined by what has been done to them, but by what Christ has accomplished for them. Praise God for all He is accomplishing in and through Not Forgotten!” If you want to learn more about the work in Peru, we’d love for you to listen to our recent episode of Stories from the Nations on Orphan Care in the Jungles of Peru on Apple Podcasts or Spotify.
